Parking payment plans. I recently had to request a parking payment plan and it was an awful headache. Why does the City of Oakland make you verify your income, SSN, ID, and how much money you have left over for expenses? While annoying for me, for others this may be the difference for whether they eat,pay a ticket, or get a worse fine because many may not have a SSN or are unable to verify their income. I've helped friends set up payment plans for a Highway traffic ticket and it was not this invasive, it's literally just a request. Please, rethink payment plan steps, a parking ticket should not be asking you for so much info. If the city of Oakland and its transportation department feel the need to distrust their residents so badly, at least do something about the crime. I felt this was the best place to place this annoying problem to let others see how ridiculous a seemingly simple step can become due to incompetence. If needed I will place somewhere else, but until then how ridiculous.
