I will forward this concern to our Logan Maintenance Station for them to go and take a look at. What work we're able to do here will depend on where the Right of Way line is on this particular stretch of the highway. There is the potential that the ground fault you are showing in the picture may not be part of our highway right of way, so that will have to be investigated by our ROW staff. But I will ask our people to take a look at this and then they can report back what they believe the solution to be. Thank you for reporting this to us.

Thank you. I know that some of the people near this section of highway are concerned about the road sliding down the hill. I will let them know that someone will be taking a look at it. Most of the erosion is on the west side of the highway, some of the worst is by the guard rail at the south end of it where it ends.

I have received a report from our maintenance supervisor for this area. That have been monitoring the stability of this area for some time. So far they have not seen enough movement in the soils to be of concern. But our maintenance forces are aware of it and are keeping an eye out for further movement. They will contact adjacent property owners if they should need to come on their property for any reason to repair this sloughing. But they do not believe that purchasing property will be necessary.
